History

Chikon Club is both a game studio and a collective legally registered in Metro Manila, Philippines making independent games. Trina, Gwen and Gia started off making short games in 2020 as a creative release during the pandemic, producing short experiences that have no fail states but provided either a calm or funny experience to the players.

On May 2020, Putahe ng Ina Mo: Sinigang Edition was released on itch.io and the team saw the need for a cooking game that’s focused on improvisation when cooking. The game was reworked into a systems-driven, with more realistic art but keeping the quirky soundscape, and Soup Pot was made. Read more about Soup Pot on this XBOX Wire Feature.
